Bereavement

In the event of death in your immediate family, you may have time needed up to three working days, with pay, to handle family affairs and attend the funeral.  “Immediate family” is defined as: current spouse, children, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law or father-in-law.  Payments will not exceed eight hours per day and payment will not be made for non-scheduled work days, holidays or vacations.  The Company will exercise the greatest degree of understanding at these difficult times, however, it is anticipated that the employee will also use their best judgment in the allocation of the bereavement time off.
